NUP Deputy President Muwanga Kivumbi Granted Bail

Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi, the National Unity Platform (NUP) Deputy President for Buganda, has been granted bail by the Butambala Chief Magistrate’s Court. He faces charges of inciting violence and managing an unlawful society.

Kivumbi’s release follows several weeks on remand under these fresh charges. His re-arrest occurred shortly after he had initially been granted bail by the International Crimes Division of the High Court.
