Malaysia's Digital Nasional Berhad began activating an additional 100 MHz of mid-band spectrum, doubling capacity on its nationwide 5G network with a contiguous 200 MHz block.
The upgrade supports high-demand areas and data-intensive applications including industrial IoT, automation and enterprise services. More than 50 sites have already been upgraded.
U Mobile officially exited DNB's network on June 30 as Malaysia transitions to a dual 5G network policy designed to increase competition and resilience.
